High school students interested in being a student couselor/instructor's assistant may apply below for community service credits! This is a cultural arts day camp from 9am-12pm for rising art enthusiasts of all of Halifax County! Programs vary from painting & drawing to jewelry-making, weaving, sculpture, etc! Adult art classes! Sign-ups starting now! The first beginner's painting class will be scheduled for Tues evenings 7-8pm at the TJ Davis Rec Center. Fee is $50 per person for 5 week session and includes basic materials.
The Roanoke Rapids Christmas Parade is coming! Get on board and help the Halifax County Arts Council make this the best parade ever! We need volunteers! Entry applications will begin in August. More information to come!
Homemade Holiday Christmas Bazaar is scheduled for Saturday, December 6th! Stay tuned for applications and information!

The Art Council's current, ongoing venture is a free event series, open to the public, entitled "Sip & See." Sip & See events are a "coffee house" styled affair, held upon the fourth Monday evening of each month from 6 to 8 pm, and are sponsored by local businesses. Held at different venues, and covering a diverse circumference of mediums and styles, local featured artists are able to share their work and inspirations with area residents and visitors, and light fare and drinks are served to all who attend. Members of HCAC receive monthly postcards with information about upcoming Sip & See artists and venues.
