1. Overview
The Halifax County Arts Council invites submissions from fine artists living in Halifax County, North Carolina and surrounding areas for the HeART of Halifax Festival. This exhibition seeks to showcase creators who approach their work with genuine devotion, discipline, and a heartfelt commitment to their artistic practice. We welcome artwork in all fine art mediums—painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking, fiber arts, and mixed media. Whether your work reflects years of persistent study, a deep investment in craft, or an earnest pursuit of artistic growth, we want to see the pieces you create with intention and integrity.
HeART of Halifax is a celebration of the creative spirit that lives right here in our local area; and desire to highlight the artists who are shaping our community’s cultural landscape through their expression and dedication to their craft.
2. Eligibility
Open to: Artists 18 and older living in Halifax County, N.C. and surrounding counties: Warren, Franklin, Nash, Edgecombe, Martin, Bertie and Northampton.
Mediums accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Sculpture (of all mediums), Pottery, Photography. (A.I generated art will not be accepted for consideration).

5. Fees & Sales
The Halifax County Arts Council is requesting a one-time $35 entry fee. This fee covers administrative costs, hanging, publicity/marketing, and contributing to the support of the Halifax County Arts Council. This fee will also grant the artist a ONE YEAR membership to the HCAC. Current members are exempt from this fee, but are asked to donate to the HCAC raffle during the event.
*This one-time entry fee will replace any commission typically taken from artist sales. Artists are responsible for and will retain all sales.

6. Artwork Requirements
Presentation: 2-D pieces must be wired and ready to hang, with the weight of the piece not exceeding 25 pounds. 3D art submissions require original, sturdy, and securely constructed pieces with attached identification and installation instructions.
